Hello! My name is Connor McPeak. I am a private chef based in New York City. Originally from the plains of Wyoming, I grew up surrounded by food that was simple, seasonal, and tied closely to the land. I have an appreciation for local ingredients, captivating presentation, and all-around honest cooking. Currently, my work centers around thoughtfully and thoroughly curating meals and menus for my clients with dietary restrictions, health goals, and personal preferences in mind.
I graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, with a foundation in classic French, Italian, and American techniques. I take pride in the food I cook and maintaining an efficient, orderly kitchen. Client satisfaction is very important to me, and I value clear communication and collaboration. At the same time, I work best with clients who are open-minded and excited to allow me to be creative within their tastes and needs. Discretion and trust are responsibilities that I take very seriously, and I am mindful of maintaining professional boundaries.
I have worked in many different kitchens in many different parts of the world. Cooking from someone’s home has been my greatest asset in my professional career. My passion lies in transforming down-to-earth food into dishes that feel refined and visually sophisticated.
